Well, we hope everyone had a nice long weekend (if you got one, that is). We at FMC took a couple of days to unwind from the 2009 Future of Music Policy Summit, which took place from Oct. 4-6 at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. If you were there, you know how awesome it was. Hopefully the rest of you were able to catch the live webcast.
But we haven't exactly been slacking since this year's Summit wound down. Our Education Director, Kristin Thomson has been hard at work putting together slides and documents related to the musician-oriented programming from Sunday, Oct. 4.
We've had tons of requests to make available some of the key information presented in this session, including Kristin's popular "New Business Models" presentation, the "New Business Models Spreadsheet" and the ever-handy "Digital Distribution Spreadsheet." As an added bonus, we've included slides from ReverbNation co-founder Jed Carlson's amazing presentation that offers practical tips on building a "fan funnel" that will drive your fans from casual listeners to active promoters.
You can check out all these goodies right here.
If you're YouTube-inclined (and who isn't?) we've also posted Kristin's presentation in four-part playlist form.
Feel free to pass these links to your musician friends, and be sure to let us know what you think!
