ARTS PRESENTERS CONFERENCE: New York, NY January 6-10, 2012
As in years past, FMC kicks things off at the annual Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) conference in New York City. This year, a whole team of FMC folks will be on hand.
On Friday, January 6, Michael Bracy will be on the “JazzConnect: Buidling Jazz Culture - Local to Global”. On Saturday, January 7, Casey Rae-Hunter and Kristin Thomson will co-host a roundtable on “Media, Technology and Copyright Policy”. And on Sunday, January 8, Jean Cook will participate on the “JazzConnect: Platforms the Move Jazz Forward” panel. More info here.
MIDEM: Cannes, France, January 28-31, 2012
At the end of January, Kristin Thomson (@kristinthomson) is off to MIDEM in Cannes, France. She will be presenting some initial, exclusive findings from our Artist Revenue Streams research project. In her talk, Kristin will describe what we have learned through our multi-method research process about the changing relationship between artists and brands during MIDEM’s Visionary Monday programming.
