Join us for this special event at the end of the tour where Jenny Toomey
will give the presentation that she gave at the law schools during the
fall speaking tour, this time in front of the indie rock audience.
During the presentation, Toomey outlines the structural problems of the
traditional music industry, and the reasons why musicians have historically
been left out of the policy debates that affect their livelihood. Then
she describes how the internet and other new business models could provide
workable alternatives to the flawed business structures.
In addition we have invited Philadelphias Mazarin and Lester Chambers
of the Chambers Brothers to perform. Recently, Lester has spoken publicly
about his frustrating personal experiences with the music industry, as
both a performer and author of some of the most famous songs in the rock
lexicon. We're thrilled that he will be joining us for this show!
Please join us for this special event.
Here's a downloadable flyer for your
fridge!
