Proceeds from the Washington, DC show will go to fund the Artist Research Council, an initiative created by Future of Music Coalition to organize and encourage respected musicians to fund research benefiting the field. The Artist Research Council examines critical issues including copyright, contract structures, emerging distribution models, the health needs of musicians and media consolidation. This generous support from Vitalogy Foundation will ensure FMC’s Artist Research Council can continue
researching, coordinating, publishing and advocating for musicians’ livelihoods in the future.
"Pearl Jam walks the walk and puts its money where its mouth is," said Executive Director, Jenny Toomey. "Few artists have taken such important stands on issues of media consolidation, speech, diversity, access and all the other things that FMC cares about. We are tremendously honored to receive this support."

About the Future of Music Coalition
Future of Music Coalition is a national non-profit education, research
and advocacy organization that identifies, examines, interprets and translates
the challenging issues at the intersection of music, law, technology
and policy. FMC achieves this through continuous interaction with its
primary constituency – musicians – and in collaboration with
other creator/citizen groups.
