Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My event is in New York, but it shows up in Kansas on the map. What gives?

A: If Google's mapping software can't match the address for your event with the zipcode you entered, then it puts it in Kansas. Why Kansas? We think it has something to do with the Wizard of Oz.

Anyway, the surefire way to make sure your event shows up on the map is to have the right address and zipcode. You can verify many venues' addresses on this website. You can also visit the US Postal Service website for zipcodes, then log into your Rock the Net account and edit that event's record with information provided.

Q: I'm a fan of the Rolling Stones. Can I submit events for them?

A: No. We want to make sure that the artists and labels signing up for this campaign are willing participants. That's why only band members, or their managers, booking agents or label reps are able to sign up bands and add their events to this campaign. However, if you'd like to invite a band to be part of Rock the Net, you can do that here!

Q: Someone submitted bogus events for my band. What do I do?

A: We can easily take care of that on our end. Just contact us at RTN@futureofmusic.org.

Q: I want to delete all my shows. How do I do that?

A: We can also deal with that on our end. Just email us at RTN@futureofmusic.org and we will contact you regarding your request.

Feel free to email RTN@futureofmusic.org with other questions or about technical glitches.
