A Decade of Fighting for Musicians

It’s hard to believe that Future of Music Coalition is ten years old. Even harder to believe that “The Thong Song” was popular back when we hatched from the music-tech-policy egg. Now it’s all GaGa and Bieber. We’ll leave it to you to decide whether that’s progress.
We’ve definitely made progress on other fronts. From helping musicians navigate the health insurance landscape to preserving the level playing field of the internet to fighting for artist access to radio, FMC works to ensure musicians can earn a living, reach audiences and keep on making the music we love. Original research, educational materials, artist-centric events — if you’re a musician, songwriter or composer, we’ve got your back.
We’ve done it for a decade. With your help, we’ll do it for decades to come.
2010 will be a non-stop celebration of Future of Music Coalition. We’ve got a bunch of exciting stuff in the works, including limited edition commemorative artwork and a big birthday bash! Follow us on Twitter, Facebook and sign up for the FMC newsletter to stay on top of all the action.
FMC’s small but dedicated staff are musicians, entrepreneurs and fans, just like you. Improving conditions for artists — especially independents — is in our DNA. But we can’t do this important work without you.
We’ve got a great way for you to show your support: FMC 10 for 10! Help us celebrate our birthday by signing up to give FMC at least $10 a month for the next year. It’s the easiest way to help us keep fighting for musicians for another 10 years.
Of course, we truly appreciate any level of support. Make your secure, tax-deductible contribution here.
Stay tuned for more on our 10th Anniversary celebrations!
