Buffalo, NY – Future of Music Coalition is proud to partner with the American Federation of Musicians Local 92, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and other community groups to bring the “What’s The Future for Musicians?” seminar to Buffalo. The event takes place in Livingston Hall inside Kleinhans Music Hall on Wednesday, April 2, from 10 AM to 4 PM. The daylong Buffalo event will educate musicians about such topical issues as promotion and distribution, access to media outlets such as radio, compensation in the digital age and the importance of open internet structures. A representative from FMC’s Health Insurance Navigation Tool (HINT) will also be on hand to offer New York State musicians free consultations about their health insurance options. Artists from all genres — including classical, jazz, rock, folk and hip-hop — are welcome.
